Then he went on to talk about first coming to North America and discovering that many (most?) students adhered to an honor code (or would like they think they did). A code where cheating was frowned upon. But in Germany ….

So here we are, expecting to hear him go on about how nobody in the “old country” would dream of cheating in any way. Instead we got “But in Germany there was never any of that nonsense. If it’s a choice between cheat and fail, of course you cheat.”

Here’s why I believe it’s a scam and some things I would suggest looking out for:

1. Old copyright- The copyright is from 2017 and hasn’t been renewed.

2. ALL stock photos- The images used on the website are all stock images. When I did a quick google image search of the photo on the scholarship page of the website, I found the image used on two different websites. (There’s probably more but those were the first two that showed up). 3. The people in the images don’t match. Usually, companies want to market their own people on their website so they seem more approachable and people are more likely to do business with them

4. They don’t have their team members listed. Again, people want to be able to search who the best people to do business with are

5. The ‘about us’ page is incredibly short and doesn’t really explain what they do

6. There’s no address except for a city- If you were going to hire someone, wouldn’t you want to know if they’re even close enough to where you’re located?

7. You can’t contact them- As I said above, there’s no address. But there’s also no email or even a phone number. The ‘contact us’ page is a page where you fill in your information and they contact you back. Kind of shady in my opinion.

8. Their privacy policy is incredibly short- I don’t know if this is a red flag, but companies usually have super long policies that are page after page of information

9. When googling the company, the only thing that shows up is information about the scholarship. There’s nothing related to the company or reviews on it

Hopefully this helps other people not put in the effort to apply to this scholarship since, in my opinion, it’s obviously a scam if you look close enough.

My Dad said don’t worry about the costs and do whatever you wanna do to get educated. But then he also said something like “But see properly because you don’t wanna go on studying for the rest of your life, right?” and I feel like he was hinting towards my age and how I won’t be properly working till 27. Because Indian mentality is you have to get married within your 20s, anything after is old, nobody will marry you.

I was in public school for all of elementary, except 4th grade when I was homeschooled. I was in public school 6th and 7th, and homeschool 8th and 9th. I am going into 10th now and wondering which is better? I am kind of interested in going to public school because my brothers say I need “the high school experience” and act like they are better than me because they were public schooled (as if I chose to be homeschooled). I am part of a co-op so l am in a classroom a few days a week but idk it’s not the same. Both have pros and cons but I really don’t know.

Homeschool pros-

Flexible schedule

Lessons catered to my learning style

Easy breakdown and assessment of material

Broader class choices

Homeschool cons-

A lot of (not all) homeschool kids are very odd. A large majority act much younger than their age and cannot keep a friend because they are so family oriented I guess?

Lonely on the days I am home

No real structure in the way classes and units are put together

Costs money (???? Its not like it’s some fancy shmancy private school??)

Public school pros-

Lots of time with friends

More time in school (more time to learn and hear straight from the teacher)

More diversity (in every category)

Street smarts

Public school cons-

More exposure to toxic people

More prone to bullying

More teachers are forcing their political and other views on students (the reason my parents pulled me out of public in the first place)

As a requirement for going down AgEd in California, you need 3,000 hours of direct, hands on agricultural experience by the end of your first semester student teaching. I have 1,640 hours currently. The pandemic made it difficult to get hours as no one was hiring. I’m worried I won’t have the hours to be able to complete the program.

The surge of gun violence in schools makes me terrified to go down education as well. If I were to teach I would do anything to protect my students, but there’s only so much I can do. There seems to be no easy answer to this horrible situation.

I have always wanted to be a teacher. My heart and passion lies in education, but I’m not sure I would be able to make it.

How much harder are the tests compared to an average university?

How fierce is the competition?

I’m not the best but not average either, more like an average of the best. I am quite good at math and academically overall, but I doubt my ability to actually get in.

The university in question is Technical University of Munich. However, I’m open to recommendations, the university is just a stretch goal at the moment.
