Tuesday, March 24, 2015

1. A Driver Education class will be offered at Spanish Springs during spring break, March 30-April 2 in Mobile 6. This 30 hour class fulfills the classroom requirement for a driver's license in Nevada if you are under 18. The cost is $94. For more information, pick up a flier at your school's counselors office or call 829-9010 for more information and to register. (Office 2/25-3/27)

2. Staff and students, please remember that any tobacco use on a school campus is prohibited. This includes cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, and chewing tobacco. Students found using tobacco products on campus are subject to progressive discipline, and student athletes will be subject to further sanctions according to NIAA policy. (Urmston 3/23-3/27)

3. Cougars! Field Day is this Friday, March 27th so make sure to get your kickball, Frisbee Golf, Basketball and Tough Man and Woman packets in room 201. Hope to see all of you competing in these competitions. (Faker 3/12-3/26)

4. Seniors: Are you interested in a Career as an electrician or plumber? Open Enrollment for Apprenticeships is from March 30th through April 10th. For more information, see Mrs. Taveira in the Career Center. (Taveira 3/13-3/27)

5. After School Tutoring is canceled until further notice. (Urmston 3/23-3/27)

6. Tomorrow, Wednesday, March 25th in room 131 at lunch there will be an information meeting for anyone interested in attending The Devil-Pups program this summer at Marine Corps Base, Camp-Pendleton. Spaces are limited. (Mendenhall 3/19-3/24)

7. Students let's remember to take some pride in our school and clean up after ourselves. Visitors comment on what a beautiful school we have! Let's keep it looking its best! (Urmston 3/20-3/25)

8. Attention Volleyball Players, if you are interested in playing volleyball next year please see Coach Sandomenico in room 250 for more information. There will be a meeting at lunch this Wednesday but please see him prior to the meeting to get some important information. (Sandomenico 3/23-3/25)

9. If you are interested in a medical career then HOSA is for you! HOSA is a national student organization based on community service that works towards improving healthcare for all community members. Participate in State and National leadership conferences as you compete in various medical competitions against other HOSA members from the state and across the nation. Pick up your membership application form in room 135. After spring break, HOSA will be meeting at lunch every Wednesday in room 135! (Klonicke 3/23-3/27)
